Answer

There is no MLS format that I am aware of.  MLS generally stands for "Master of Library Science," a graduate degree which is required for many professional library positions verifying that recpient has completed coursework in the organization of library materials and as well as outreach to library customers.

There is an MLA format, which stands for Modern Language Association as a method of documentiong sources when writing a paper, usually as distinguished from APA (American Psychological Assocation) citation, often used in social science courses whcih uses in-text citation.
